New school year – new rules! We introduce you to the LIFV Mobile Phone Policy
Starting September 2, 2026, students from CE1 to Terminale will no longer be allowed to use phones or other mobile devices on school grounds.
Before lessons: Phones and mobile devices must be left in designated boxes before lessons begin: CE1–CM2 students will leave theirs with their class teacher; 6e–Terminale students will leave theirs with Vie Scolaire.
During lessons: Some lessons may require a digital device. In such cases, teachers will use the school’s tablets or computers.
After lessons: Once lessons are over, students may collect their phones on their way home.
Exception:
2nde–Terminale students may collect their phones when leaving school grounds during free periods and lunch break
4e and 3e students may collect their phones when leaving school grounds during lunch break
What does this mean for our community?
At LIFV, we are not turning away from technology — the goal of this policy is to increase student engagement during lessons.
That’s precisely why we will continue running projects such as AI Week, Coding Night, and other initiatives dedicated to building digital literacy.
