Yesterday our parents gathered for the long-awaited LIFV General Assembly, welcomed as guests at the residence of the French Ambassador to Lithuania, Lucie Stepanyan.
In her greeting, the Ambassador confirmed that France is committed to continuing to support our Lycée, in cooperation with the embassy. She also underlined the importance of LIFV in strengthening ties between France and Lithuania. Our Lycée is a true bridge between the two countries: almost 70% of students continue their higher education in France, helping to nurture the connection between both cultures.
After the welcome speeches and updates on life at the Lycée, we heard the candidates for the Management Committee introduce themselves, and then opened the voting. The formal part of the evening continued with tasty snacks and French wine.
This evening once again showed how strong the ties are between France and LIFV. We thank our parents for gathering in such great numbers at this important Lycée event, and the French Ambassador and the entire embassy team for the warm welcome and for their cooperation in organizing the General Assembly.
