On September 20th, we had the privilege to welcome Prof. Carole Bourne-Taylor at the LIFV. Prof. Bourne-Taylor is a literature professor at Oxford University (Department of Literature and Medieval Languages) where she has been teaching for 22 years. She spoke to grade 10 and grade 11 (2nde and 1ère) students about her research and teaching interests in the areas of languages and comparative literature. She explained the use of studying languages and literature in today’s world. She also spoke about her own course of studies in France before Oxford. Students had the opportunity to ask questions on higher studies in general, in areas related to languages and literature in particular and on attending the prestigious Oxford University. Thank you Prof. Bourne-Taylor for this captivating talk!
