First school trip of the year in French Lycée – 6e students go to Nida!

The school year has just started, and our 6e students are already off on their first trip of the year to the beautiful Nida.

At Lycée International Français de Vilnius, students begin the school year in a newly formed class with a new class teacher. Naturally, it takes time to get used to new classmates and a new teacher, but in the long run, this practice helps young people learn to adapt more easily. That’s why it’s so important to help students feel as comfortable as possible among their classmates — and trips are one of the most powerful ways to strengthen that sense of belonging to a team.

Our English teacher Dainius took this to heart, deciding to bring his new class to the Lithuanian seaside for the best possible start to the school year. The trip began at Vilnius Railway Station, from where the group headed to the Curonian Spit to stay in charming Nida. During their time there, the class went on plenty of hikes, spent hours in the fresh air, and discovered many of Nida’s hidden gems.

Trips like this are perfect for bonding: they give students a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time together, break the ice after the long summer break, and get to know their new class teacher better. A big thank you to Dainius for the initiative, and to our whole team for making this brilliant idea happen!
